June 2017 Events Happening at BelleWood Acres

Get out on the farm this summer at BelleWood Acres, just north of Bellingham, WA, offering apple orchards, spectacular views of Mt. Baker, a cafe, distillery and country-style gift shop. These special events are scheduled for June 2017. Discover Laurel: Tour Private Gardens and Local Gardening Businesses: Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. $55 per person Wander four beautiful private gardens and visit four unique local businesses.  All venues are within 3 miles of each other, so the bus rides are short, but the impressions will be long-lasting.  All profits will be donated to local non-profits through the Whatcom Community Foundation. Board the bus at 9:15am at Laurel Farm & Western Supply, 325 W. Laurel, just west of Meridian High School.  Park your car and pick it up on return. Our stops include the four gardens:  Laurel Farm, Boxx Berry Farm, Appel Farms and BelleWood Acres.  Coffee and muffins will be available at the first stop, and lunch will be available at Appel Farms and BelleWood Acres.  Distillery tastings will also be available at BelleWood Acres. Father’s Day Car Show at BelleWood Acres: Sunday, June 18, 2017 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. It’s going to be a Father’s Day to remember out at BelleWood Acres this year.  Come join us for our annual car show, with raffles, trophies and tons of fun!  There will be live music and breakfast and barbecue available.  Bring dad and grandpa out for a good old time on the farm. To register your car for the car, show please go to gearheadswc.com.  Registration is $15 and profits local charities including the Whatcom Humane Society, Bellingham Food Bank, Vietnam Veterans and the Alzheimer’s Association. Farm to Glass Distillery Tours at BelleWood Acres: Most Saturdays and Sundays in June at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. Tours will be held June 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 24 This tour for 10 people includes a behind the scenes look at our process to turn BelleWood apples into delicious hand-crafted spirits.  Learn about our agricultural practices, cider making and the distillation process.  Includes many samples and a private tasting.  21+ only.  Please allow 1.5 hours.
