Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons at Firehouse Arts and Events Center in Oct.

If you only had 140 words, how would you use them? Sam Steiner’s brilliant, absurdly funny play, LEMONS LEMONS LEMONS LEMONS LEMONS, will arrive on stage at the historic FireHouse Arts and Events Center in Bellingham, WA on October 3, 4, 10 and 11 to give you some ideas.

The average person will speak 123,205,750 words in a lifetime. Sam Steiner’s LEMONS LEMONS LEMONS LEMONS LEMONS imagines a world where a new Quietude Law has limited each person’s speech to 140 words per day — a world where people are censored and abbreviated. LEMONS… is the story of a young couple navigating this new law as they struggle to communicate, get to know and understand each other. Steiner challenges us to question relationships, silence, sex, protest, and class in his stress test of our modern world.

In a time of questionable politics and increasingly censored thoughts, Steiner’s exploration of free speech and democracy encourages recognition of the past, hope for the future, and an ever-watchful eye on the present where every word could count.

LEMONS LEMONS LEMONS LEMONS LEMONS will be live on stage at the FireHouse Arts and Events Center in Fairhaven, October 3, 4, 10 and 11, 2019 at 7:30 pm. Information and tickets: http://www.firehouseperformingarts.com/upcoming-events/ or at Brown Paper Tickets: Lemons5x.brownpapertickets.com

LEMONS LEMONS LEMONS LEMONS LEMONS is presented by Stiletto Rosso Productions and Socratic Publics, a joint venture to promote theatre with a purpose and emerging talent in Bellingham and Whatcom County, WA.
