Stones Throw Ski to Sea Block Party and Celebrations

Stones Throw Brewery in Bellingham has another Block Party in the works! All ages are invited to join the brewery with their Ski to Sea Block Party festivities on Saturday, May 27, 2017. As Fairhaven celebrates Bellingham’s annual relay race from Mount Baker to Bellingham Bay, Stones Throw will close the street in front of the brewery for an extended beer garden from 12-9pm. Block Parties have become a staple for the Stones Throw community, and everyone is invited to come down the Saturday before the race to enjoy live music, food trucks, games, and beer. The family-friendly afternoon event kicks off when the live music begins at 12 p.m. The four bands include Old Town Tonic, The Penny Stinkers, Yogoman and his Burning Band, and culminate with the Badd Dog Blues Society from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Back East BBQ, Cubano Cubano, Fairhaven Pizza, and Street Dogz will be serving food all day at the Block Party. Stones Throw will have two outdoor bars, as well as the indoor taproom, pouring beer. Favorites such as the Neighborhood IPA, Raincountry Liquid Sunshine Lager, and the Two Dollah Porter will be on tap, as well as the return of the Tree Rings India Pale Lager. But be ready to go again, because on Sunday, May 28, Stones Throw will keep the street closed for another extended beer garden as the Ski to Sea party continues at the Fairhaven Festival. Be sure to swing by Stones Throw both before and after walking down to watch racers finish at Marine Park, as the brewery will have Back East BBQ and Street Dogz on hand from 12-9pm. Stones Throw is also excited to be sponsoring the returning winners of the Ski to Sea Recreational Mixed division. Be sure to cheer them on throughout the race and find them in the beer garden afterward for a post-race cheers. With a full Block Party on Saturday and another extended beer garden on Sunday, the taps will be flowing and Memorial Day weekend at Stones Throw Brewery will be another one to remember!

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
