The Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center (WDRC) invites the Bellingham community to join in recognition of October 2018 as Community Conflict Resolution Month. City of Bellingham Mayor Kelli Linville and Whatcom County Executive Jack Louws have signed a Joint Proclamation recognizing October 2018 as Community Conflict Resolution Month. Governor Jay Inslee has also signed a similar proclamation for Washington State. Around the world, the third Thursday in October (October 18, 2018) is celebrated as Conflict Resolution Day. The WDRC invites community members to commemorate Community Conflict Resolution Month by committing to approaching conflict in constructive and collaborative ways, and by supporting access to low-cost, professional conflict resolution services.
