A Running Club For Everyone- GBRC is a 100% volunteer-driven, 501c3 nonprofit. This club has proudly served our community since 1976 and continues to make running accessible and inviting to everyone.

GBRC Connects Runners. The club organizes multiple running events throughout the year, several events are free to members and membership includes weekly professionally coached track workouts and group trail runs. There are also social gatherings, work parties, and plenty of other volunteer opportunities.

GBRC Builds Community by connecting runners and supporting and promoting local businesses. Being a volunteer based organization makes it a great way to meet other members and learn about other local programs and events.

GBRC Gives Back. There are annual scholarships available (thanks to Haggen’s) for college-bound high school runners- applications can be found on gbrc.net. There are Shoe vouchers provided for high school athletes in need. The club also donates to Girls on the Run and Trailblazers.

All of the work is done by a volunteer board and members. This running club is grateful be a part of such a wonderful community!

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
