Century-old Whatcom Co. landmark making comeback after arson

LYNDEN, Wash. -- The century-old Delft Square building has been touted as one of the most iconic structures in Whatcom County. It was nearly destroyed by teenage arsonists. Now the historic centerpiece of Lynden is one big step closer to making a comeback as a tourism hotspot for Western Washington. People across Washington state know northern Whatcom County for its Dutch-inspired history. The shell of the building, constructed in 1914, will soon cater to that heritage with a promise to boost the local economy.
