Chuckanut Brewery and Kitchen Traditional Family Oktoberfest September 8

Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen in Bellingham, WA will host its third Oktoberfest on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018. This year the fun will happen between 1 p.m. and 10 pm. The celebration of the fall and harvest time will highlight the amazing German-style beers Chuckanut is famous for, plus sodas and cider. There will be lots of beer garden games (washers, giant jenga and corn hole), face painters for kids and adults, music including live German Oom pah pah music with Sylvia and German-style beer garden games. Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen will open their doors at 1 pm to start the festivities. A very limited supply of Chuckanut Oktoberfest 2018 half liter mugs will be available for purchase along with a selection of packaged tickets for purchases of mugs, food and drinks. Chuckanut wants everyone to enjoy their Oktoberfest with only a $1 per person entry fee with kids under 10 years free. Chuckanut’s famous wurst will all be available for purchase along with Ralph’s pretzels and pickled eggs. For the beer drinker Chuckanut will be offering its award winning German style Fest Bier 2018, along with other delicious European style ales and lager beers. There will be ample repeats of the “Chicken Dance” for all those dancers out there. A costume contest for all in their leiderhausen and dirndals as well as a yodeling contest for the adventurous (or silly) will be held. Plus the ever popular Liter Holding contest where the winning contestant has to hold out a full liter of liquid with a straight arm the longest to win, not as easy as you think. Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen’s regular menu will be suspended for the day so there’s plenty of room to sit and enjoy all the Oktoberfest celebrations and activities. The restaurant will resume its regular menu and hours on Sunday, September 9 at 9:30 am for Brunch. Spread the word and bring your family and friends to the Chuckanut Oktoberfest on Saturday September 8 and celebrate all that’s fall. Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen located at 601 West Holly St, Bellingham was awarded the National Small Brewpub/Brewer of the Year 2009 and National Small Brewery/Brewer of the Year 2011 at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF).         We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
