Make.Shift Hosts 10-Year Anniversary Party and Silent Auction

Make.Shift will celebrate its 10th anniversary by throwing a free, all-ages party and silent auction. The free event on Sept. 29, 2018 will be held at Make.Shift located at 306 Flora Street in downtown Bellingham from 6 p.m. to midnight featuring karaoke, live performances, kid-friendly activities, and limited-edition anniversary merchandise. The silent auction will take place the following weekend, Saturday, Oct. 6 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Whatcom Museum Lightcatcher Building located at 250 Flora Street. “I'm overwhelmed with gratitude to live in a community that has continually shown up to support all-ages music and art for a decade now,” says Make.Shift’s Executive Director Katie Gray. “Make Shift has grown and evolved a lot over the years but at the core of our organization has always been the belief that expression through art and music is vital to the happiness and health of a community.” While the free celebration will be a “thank you” event to the Bellingham community for its support, the auction will be ticket-based featuring desserts, wine, live music, and live painting by local artist James Mey. All funds will go toward Make.Shift’s operational budget for the next year. “I look forward to many more years of growth and engagement with our community,” Gray says. “Thank you so much to the artists, musicians, and hardworking staff and volunteers who have sustained Make Shift over this past decade and thank you to Bellingham for continuing to show up.” To purchase tickets for the silent auction, follow the link below.
