It was a beautiful spring day in the San Juan archipelago, and I awoke to glassy water in the Sucia Island bay. On the island, campers were just poking out from their tents and stretching their legs. On the Schooner Zodiac, we had already eaten breakfast at 8 a.m. and all hands were on deck as a crew of nine volunteers and twelve guests polished brass fixtures, hosed down the deck and scrubbed the historic vestle. My daughter, Amy and I were in for an adventure. Read about the rest of their trip, and learn more about the Schooner Zodiac here.
