Trails to Taps Registration Is Now Open!
Whatcom Events is excited to announce that registration in now open for the 8th annual Trails to Taps Relay. The event will take place on Sunday, October 11th.
Teams of eight runners comprise this 8-leg relay run which highlights two of Bellingham’s best assets – breweries and trail running. Each leg of the 33-mile course utilizes local trails, parks and streets and then ends at a different brewery to transition to the next leg. Teammates meet each other at Kulshan Trackside for an After Party from 1-4 pm to celebrate with all the participating breweries. The event encourages costumes and features a Best Team Costume and Most Creative Baton Contest which will take place at Kulshan Trackside at 2:30 pm. This relay is 21+ only but the After Party is all ages. Each runner receives a complimentary pint glass.
Stones Throw Brewery, Kulshan Brewing (Trackside), Wander Brewing, Stemma Brewing, Aslan Depot, Bellingham Cider Co, Fountain Brewery, and Lost Giants Cider Co. are all hosting transition points and providing libations.
The Beneficiary of the Relay for the 8th year is Lydia Place. To date, our donation to Lydia Place for this event is $17,000.
Whatcom Events, the nonprofit organization that hosts Ski to Sea, is proud to continue the longtime Bellingham tradition and has taken over management of the Bellingham Traverse. We currently have 34 entries and are looking to boost solo and tandem registration by offering a special deal.
Race options are solo, as a tandem team or with teammates through five disciplines: paddle, road bike, trail run, mountain bike and a greenway run; finishing with a short team trek to Kulshan Trackside to celebrate together.
Going Solo?
All racers who recruit another solo competitor will receive 50% off registration for both people.
Prefer a Tandem Team?
All racers who recruit another tandem team will receive 30% off registration for both teams.
Racers simply have to email us at info@bellinghamtraverse.com to get a code for either special.
Racing as a Team?
We are also giving teams a deal! Use code S2S15 for 15% off team registration. Corporate teams are also welcome, with additional perks available for businesses.
The September 13th Mt Baker Hill Climb is officially SOLD OUT but we want to remind the community of the 7:00 am - 12:00 noon road closure from Snowwater Rd to Artist Point, both northbound and southbound.
This event is capped at 450 cyclists between the three division; social, recreational and competitive.
