Whatcom Community College’s second annual STEM Carnival will be presented online May 11-15, 2020. Families, children, teens, and adults are invited to explore science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) from home through free interactive activities led by WCC faculty and students. A live event is planned for 3:30 p.m. Thursday, May 14.
Examples of the hands-on activities include experimenting with electric currents and magnetic fields, building a catapult, creating a virtual maze, at-home chemical reactions, exploring renewable energy, and a rocketry “how to” guide. Activities are meant for all ages and will utilize materials often found at home.
Virtual STEM Carnival is sponsored by Emerson Electric Co., Whatcom Community College Library, and Village Books.
