Easter Bunny, Egg Hunt Highlight Bellewood Farms Weekend Activities
A spring outing with activities for all ages will be offered April 4-5 during Easter at the Farm at Whatcom County’s Bellewood Farms & Distillery.
Photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny – adults are welcome too – will be offered from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 4, and Sunday, April 5. Children will enjoy face painting during the day. Egg hunts are scheduled every half-hour from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with prizes at the end for $9 per child. Both days also will include live music by Lynden-based Queen’s Bluegrass from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The public is invited to stroll through Bellewood’s apple orchards, which offer an excellent view of Mt. Baker, for free with a possible bonus that blossoms may appear after a mild winter. Tractor train rides through the orchards are available for $5 per person.
Bellewood Farms is located at 6140 Guide Meridian, within seven miles of Bellingham, Ferndale and Lynden.
The Ten Mile Café will offer a breakfast brunch and its full lunch menu, plus made-from-scratch apple cider donuts. Adults may sample distilled apple spirits, or order cocktails and local beers, in the distillery’s tasting room.
