Out and About: PRIDE at Low-Tide

Out and About is an affinity program developed by, and for, members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community to foster new friendships, play outdoors, and nourish our connection with each other and the natural world around us. Join us to celebrate PRIDE at low tide all summer long! August is our last month at the shore- where we will be exploring during a strong negative tide, which often reveal sea stars, nudibranchs, baby fish and even clams that shoot water! Consider bringing a snack or lunch to enjoy a picnic on the beach once we finish exploring.

Program is Free/By-Donation, but registration is required to receive directions to our exact meeting location. Learn more or register at www.wildwhatcom.org/out-and-about

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
