Meloy Gallery: Quietude Original by Christine Wardenburg Skinner

Still life paintings speak in varied voices of beauty, grace, and joy. Wardenburg - Skinner goes to this genre as a translator of the natural into a place of visual quietude that can serve as a healing and place of calm in our chaotic world. Christine's floral oil paintings, lovely mixed media matted works and hand formed pottery, are reminiscent of the Bloomsbury UK works from the Virginia Woolf and Dora Carrington era. All works are available for purchase.

Meet Christine at the August 1 Bellingham First Friday Art Walk from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The gallery is also open that evening from 5:00 to 9:00 pm.

Meloy Gallery is the working studio of Rebecca Meloy where she invites guest artists. For September and October new works by Joe Reno are featured.         We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
