Heels to the Hardwood, The Preacher & The Freight Train

Join us in the beer garden on Sunday, August 31st for live music from Heels to the Hardwood and The Preacher & The Freight Train!

Doors open at 6, music starts at 7. All ages $10 presale tickets, $12 at the door. (Presale ends a few hours prior to the show).

Heels to the Hardwood is a soulful Americana rock band known for their powerful vocals, expressive and honest lyrics, intricate guitar riffs, smooth keyboard and pedal steel melodies, and driving backbeats that will keep your toes tapping and your feet stomping. The Preacher & The Freight Train blend southern rock, country blues, and soul with a PNW twist.

Born in 2023 from a one-night jam, they got their name when somebody in the crowd moved by the energy in the room shouted, “Sounds like a Preacher and a Goddamn Freight Train!” Their powerful live shows deliver music with a message - meant to unite and galvanize connection in resistance to forces that incite division.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
