Floral to Comos, Joe Reno Paintings

Joe Reno's paintings involve the search for new form, color, design, composition, and spirit. This fall exhibition will reveal Joe's new unusual concepts. He is a prolific and dynamic painter, and more so in his 8th decade.
From Seattle, as a young man he studied with Will Barnett and Edwin Dickinson at the Art Student’s League in New York City where he was also employed at the Museum of Modern Art. There, he intensely observed the collection of master's works. In the 1960s he was stationed in Germany with the United States military and after went on to study art. He has exhibited throughout the nation, and was friends with the Northwest Mystic painters.
He has been published in thirty nine art reviews / publications / books. His work is exceedingly collectible. Meloy Gallery is the only gallery that offers new works directly benefiting Joe's livelihood. Meet Joe at the October 3, First Friday Bellingham Art Walk, 5:00-9:00pm.
