Water Week with Northwest Straits

Join the Northwest Straits Foundation and Dragonfly Kayak Tours for a scenic paddle from Wildcat Cove to Clayton Beach—home to the exciting Clayton Beach Restoration Project.

As we make our way along the shorelines of Larrabee State Park and Chuckanut Bay, coastal experts and ecologists will highlight key natural features and share insights into the goals and progress of the restoration work. Snacks, refreshing beverages, and oysters on the beach are all part of the experience!

All equipment is provided. Space is limited to the first 18 participants, ages 5+, so sign up soon! A portion of the proceeds will benefit Northwest Straits Foundation.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
