Whatcom Artist Studio Tour

Since 1994, the Whatcom Artist Studio Tour has opened the doors to creativity in Whatcom County. Each October, dozens of artists welcome visitors into their working studios for two weekends of exploration and connection. This free, self-guided tour is your chance to travel scenic backroads and city streets, discover the spaces where art is born, and meet the makers behind the work.

From painting and sculpture to jewelry, ceramics, photography, and more, the Whatcom Artist Studio Tour offers an intimate glimpse into the creative process and the opportunity to take home original works of art directly from the artists who made them.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
