Lightnin’ Luke, Asa Menlove, Spider Cult

Lightnin’ Luke is a multi-talented singer, songwriter, and violinist known for combining soulful vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and energetic fiddle playing. Originally from Portland, Oregon, he has formal classical training on violin and studied jazz fiddle, including time at Berklee College of Music.

For more than two decades, Luke has performed across styles—classical, folk, blues, roots, and country—and toured extensively as both a solo artist and band member. He is best known as the fiery fiddle player for Bridge City Sinners, and has also performed with Tejon Street Corner Thieves, Yes Ma’am, Clyde and the Milltailers, and King Strang.         We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
