Ferndale's Holiday Tree Lighting

Join us in Downtown Ferndale as we kick off the holiday season with our annual Holiday Tree Lighting! Enjoy free hot cocoa and cookies, festive music, and plenty of holiday cheer as the community comes together to light up our beautiful 30-foot tree. (4ft. bigger than last year!)

🎅 Special Guest Alert! Santa Claus is coming to town — but his sleigh is in the shop this year!

🚒 Thankfully, our amazing Ferndale Fire Department will be stepping in to chauffeur him to the event. Come wave him in and grab a selfie with the big guy himself, or dress up and get your holiday glam all aglow in front of the dazzling tree! Bring your friends, family, and your holiday spirit — this is one of Ferndale’s most magical nights of the year!

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
