Whatcom READS Presents: An Evening with Javier Zamora and Friends

Solito: A Memoir by Javier Zamora is the 2026 Whatcom READS selection. The evening at Mount Baker is the literary program's marquee event. 

Bushwick Book Club Northwest will open the program with original music composed by local musicians and inspired by Solito. The author will be in conversation with poet Claudia Castro Luna. 

At the end of the event, Zamora will announce Whatcom READS' 2027 selection and will sign his books. The event is free but online registration is required.

Doors open at 6 p.m.
