The B'ham Swing Jam

A dance festival with classes, dance battles, and live music for beginners, advanced dancers, and youth dancers (9 and over). The B'ham Swing Jam is a festival dedicated to breaking down barriers and creating collaboration between performing artists of all experience levels, across heritage jazz idioms. 

The event centers vernacular dancers, with workshops in heritage jazz dance, tap dance, swing dance, breaking, and hip hop. Classes and events will emphasize jams, with workshops teaching skills needed to participate fully. Evenings will feature live bands, social dances, performances, and dance battles. 

Scholarships are available for both adult and youth participants. Email bham.hop@gmail.com to apply.
