Crashing Carefully (and Other Indoor Drills)

Yes! There is a way to crash or bail with more safety and grace. Let us teach you! Because mountain biking is an inherently dangerous sport and one way people get really good at riding is by getting really good at crashing.

In this indoor workshop, students will have the chance to practice skills for staying safe when crashes happen with the use of our squishy gymnastics pads and expert instruction by Coach Angi. Come join us so we can help you increase your fun while reducing your risk of injury with this helpful class. We can also use the manual trainer indoors to practice a variety of wheel lifts with a helpful tool. So we have a variety of topics to cover all while covered and out of the winter elements. All you need to bring is your helmet and a willingness to learn while having some fun. You can bring a bike if you want to but it won’t be necessary.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
