Invasive Species Removal Field Friday @ Elk Flats

Join us for a special day at the beautiful Elk Flats! This 80-acre conservation site is difficult to access, making this Field Friday a rare chance to explore and care for this unique landscape. Together, we’ll hike through the forest to complete our annual site visit while removing invasive species to support native habitat. Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or new to stewardship work, this is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact while experiencing a place few people ever get to see. We look forward to having you join us!

Registration is REQUIRED for this event: https://secure.lglforms.com/form_engine/s/JE7sfBcIVoPCr4LeDvUksg

Once you register, additional details will be sent by our Volunteer Coordinator, Lauren Ralbovsky, a week to 4 days before the event. If you have questions in the meantime, email lauren.r@whatcomlandtrust.org.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
