Beyond Plant Picks: Sustainable Landscaping Practices

The Koma Kulshan Chapter of the Washington Native Plant Society is holding their February meeting. Join for a virtual presentation from Cheryl Lovato Niles entitled Beyond Plant Picks: Sustainable Landscaping Practices to Promote Healthy Plants and Soils, Conserve Water, and Manage Maintenance. 

This talk will cover ways to assess and improve your soil, watering tools and techniques, using maintenance zones in your landscape, and more. Cheryl is a nature nerd with a master’s degree in environmental science, policy, and management from UC Berkeley. She is the Water Resources Educator and Gardening Green instructor for WSU Whatcom County Extension. Cheryl has called Bellingham home since 2003 and has worked in the Whatcom County water world since 2005.
