Yambambo at The Blue Room

Yambambo is a high-energy salsa band led by Peruvian Seattleite and multi-percussionist Gabriel Cerna, building strong momentum across the Pacific Northwest. Made up of musicians with roots in Peru, Panama, Puerto Rico, and beyond, Yambambo delivers a powerful blend of Cuban timba and salsa designed to keep audiences moving from the first song through to the last.

Now entering their second year together, the band has been steadily expanding their reach and is ready to bring their electrifying live show to new stages and new audiences wherever people are ready to dance.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
