Whatcom Museum Free First Friday - Game Time

Visit the Whatcom Museum the first Friday of every month for free admission, extended hours until 9 pm (Family Interactive Gallery open until 6 pm), and programming in both museum buildings: Old City Hall and the Lightcatcher. Check out our website for each month's theme and schedule of events.

Put on your game face and stop by the Whatcom Museum for a game and puzzle extravaganza on March 6 for Free First Friday. Design a DIY puzzle, upcycle playing cards into a custom collage, and help complete our giant community word search. At noon, the board game zone opens in Old City Hall with games and puzzles for the whole family. Drop in, play a round, and check out new exhibitions in both buildings. In the evening, we’ll keep the energy going with traditional and contemporary Zimbabwean music played by the Bellingham Community Marimba Project.

Start your Friday family game night at the museum!

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
