Wander to Wander 1k

The Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center will once again be hosting the shortest fun run in the county, the Wander to Wander 1K. This short-and-sweet adventure takes off on Saturday, June 6th at 10:30. Starting with donuts and a few light calisthenics just outside the WDRC office before embarking on the mighty 0.62-mile journey to Wander Brewing. Participants are encouraged to dance, skip, and rove with style.

Finish line festivities will include an awards ceremony, costume contest, raffle, and family friendly activities. Proceeds from the event will help the WDRC continue to provide creative and collaborative conflict resolution services on a sliding scale. So, bring your friends, family, and well-behaved furry sidekicks for a day full of fun! Costumes and silly shenanigans are STRONGLY encouraged.

Whether you’re chasing a new PR or just strolling for the sprinkles, the Wander 1K is all about one thing: FUN.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
