Tipsy Tales: A Boozy History of Bellingham

Step back in time at Tipsy Tales, an evening of storytelling and local history at Kulshan’s Sunnyland Taproom. This special Bellingham Beer Week event features Kolby LaBree, Tour Guide & Researcher with The Good Time Girls, sharing stories from Bellingham’s boozy past, from prohibition-era antics to the colorful characters who shaped the city’s early drinking culture. We’ll be leaning into the theme for the night with a few historic beer relics on display, a prohibition-inspired atmosphere, and a special beer release.

Grab a pint, settle in, and enjoy an evening of local history, great beer, and stories that prove Bellingham has always known how to have a good time.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
