Weave your Next Project!

REGISTRATION DEADLINE Saturday, May 23, 12:00pm

Once you’ve begun your weaving journey, you may come across a weaving project in a magazine or book that you’d like to try. But you’re not quite sure if you have the skills, or you don’t know exactly how to proceed. This class is for you! Bring your project ideas, and the instructor will guide you in successfully executing your plan. Learn how to plan the overall project, how to adjust for different fibers, how to modify weaving drafts to suit your individual project, and how to sample before you start making your planned project. Perhaps, acquaint yourself with a weave structure you haven’t tried before.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
