Post Workday Bird Walk at Whatcom Falls: Spring Migrants
Curious about birds and the incredible species flocking back to the Pacific Northwest this spring? Join professional naturalist and experienced birder Kate Brown for a relaxed Tuesday afternoon bird walk at Whatcom Falls. We will chat about what to look and listen for while birding, discuss some of the common species we are likely to spot in this park and what makes them unique- then meander the trails while birding and chatting.
Our walks are open to all abilities and experience levels! This park is frequented by Belted Kingfishers, Osprey, and diverse ducks and songbirds. Bring any binoculars you might have (I own a few to share!).
Accessibility Note: We will be meeting at the entrance to Whatcom Falls located at 1401 Electric Avenue - directly across from Lafeen's Donuts. The trails we will be exploring are a mixture of flat and gently inclined hills, and the trail surface is made up of hard packed dirt, gravel and pavement.
