Shakespeare's Julius Caesar with an ALL-WOMEN Cast

Rome. 44 BCE. Rome has been a republic for almost 500 years. Now struggles for power have led to civil war. The Senate has given Caesar vast powers in hopes of restoring stability. How much more power does Caesar hunger for? How much will the Senate concede to him? And, what do the People want?

The Tragedy of Julius Caesar is a drama of People, Politics and Power that resonates today as it has in every age since Shakespeare first penned it.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
