Tides & Tunes at the Pier

Join us on the first Friday of May, June, July, and August from 6-8pm for Tides & Tunes at the Pier, a laid-back acoustic music series set right on the Central Avenue Pier in front of the Granary Building.

As the seasons shift and the evenings stretch longer, we’re bringing live music, waterfront views, and a welcoming atmosphere to the Waterfront District.

May 1st - Blue Collar Grass Band

June 5th - TBD

July 3rd - The Librarians

August 7th - J Chang & The Lover Boys

Each night features live acoustic performances paired with special activations from Granary businesses, making it easy to explore, connect, and experience something new just steps from the shoreline. As part of Downtown’s First Friday, you can expect even more energy, foot traffic, and reasons to make a night of it.

The kickoff on May 1st also has a FREE bike valet, so bike down to the Waterfront and be rest assured your bike is in safe hands. Come early, stay awhile, and see what the Granary has to offer!

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
