A Global Motorcycle Journey: Book Reading
What happens when you sell nearly everything you own to travel the world by motorcycle with someone you just met online? Local author Heather Lea answers that question in her debut memoir Riding Full Circle.
Lea’s journey spans two years, 40 countries, and more than 58,000 miles—yet the most compelling terrain she faces is human: trust, resilience, and the complexities of partnership under pressure.
After meeting online, the two take a leap into the unknown, embarking on two BMW motorcycles on a global adventure that delivered far more than just scenery. “This isn’t just a travel story; you don't even need to like or care about motorcycles,” Lea says. “It’s about what happens when you push past your limits—physically, emotionally, and relationally—and what you discover on the other side.” Lea is a Canadian-born writer now based in Bellingham.
