Memorial Weekend Block Party Day 2: Backcountry Medical Guides

Come and celebrate Memorial Day Weekend 2026 with a Stones Throw Block Party on Saturday, May 23rd! As part of Fairhaven’s beloved Ski to Sea festivities, we’re turning the street into a lively, all-ages outdoor beer garden from 12–9pm, packed with live music, delicious local food, and—of course—ice-cold craft beer.

Live Music Lineup:

12–2:30pm: Cascadia Groove

3–5:30pm: Lost at Last

6–9pm: River Spell Food Trucks

On Site All Day: That's What I Like! Island Grill, Street Dogz, Cicchitti's Pizza

This year, we’re proud to support Backcountry Medical Guides (BMG), a nonprofit dedicated to building safer, more prepared outdoor communities through hands-on wilderness medicine education. Founded in 2010, their team of ER docs, paramedics, and outdoor enthusiasts teach real-world emergency skills where you need them most—on the trail, the mountain, and the water. Scholarships are available because everyone deserves to be prepared.

10% of Block Party revenue will be donated to support their work. Learn more at backcountrymedicalguides.org.

The celebration keeps going on Sunday, May 24th, with an extended beer garden from 12–9pm—stop by before or after catching the Ski to Sea race at Marine Park! Let’s kick off summer the Fairhaven way—see you at the Block Party!

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
