Public Sail Aboard The Schooner Adventuress

Our 3-hour Public Sails are designed to get everybody involved, and no sailing experience is required. They are a perfect way to explore Puget Sound and learn about our unique marine environment while sailing aboard the historic schooner Adventuress.

From the moment we get under way you’ll be invited to help raise the sails or take a turn at the wheel. As we explore the Puget Sound/Salish Sea, the crew will explain it’s unique marine environment and share the history of Adventuress. Then listen to a sea chantey, a talk from an on-board guest or crew member — or just sit back and take in the whole experience.

Please Note: Infants aged 0-1 are free, but must have a ticket. The US Coast Guard regulates exactly how many people are on board, including infants and young children. Become a Sound Experience Member to get 30% off Public Sails (including guest tickets!), support Adventuress’ youth education mission and more perks.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
