Whatcom Museum Free First Friday

On each first Friday of the month, the Whatcom Museum will have free admission, extended hours until 9 pm, and special free programming! Each month, we’ll bring a different mix of artists, performers, and experts to lead workshops and activities for all ages, generously supported by Art Bridges Foundation’s Access for All program.

Join us in June as we kick off Pride season with our annual Pride Free Friday celebration. Jazz up your outfit with colorful crafts like customized pride pins and rainbow hair ribbons. In the evening, express yourself loud and proud with facepainting by the Art and Happiness fairies while you dance to Pride anthems and party tunes at our silent disco hosted by Dancing Dana Carr. Plus, don’t miss out on toddler music classes, gallery tours, and community tabling by local Pride organizations.

We can’t wait to see you for a colorful and joyful day at the museum!

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
