Shoreline Clean Up In Ferndale with Bellingham SeaFeast

Join us on Tuesday, June 2nd for a shoreline cleanup along the Nooksack River in downtown Ferndale! We’ll meet at the car wash located at 1980 Main Street, then head out to clean up areas around the river where windblown trash and plastics often collect before entering the waterway.

This is a great opportunity to make a real impact by helping remove debris before it reaches the Nooksack River and the broader Salish Sea ecosystem. Please bring closed-toe shoes and dress for Northwest weather — rain, sun, wind, or cold. We’ll provide gloves, buckets, trash grabbers, and cleanup supplies. Plenty of parking is available on Main Street, nearby side streets, or in the parking lot across from the car wash.

Starts: June 02, 2026

Time: 10 a.m.

Location: Meet at 1980 Main St., Ferndale, WA

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
