Fish & Farms Habitat Tour

Join NSEA staff for our Fish & Farms Habitat Tour on Friday, July 3rd from 10am-1pm! We’ll be touring three habitat restoration projects on Squalicum Creek and Tenmile Creek that showcase collaboration between salmon recovery and agriculture in Whatcom County, and how healthy waterways are beneficial for both people and fish. We will meet at NSEA’s campus (3057 E Bakerview Rd) for a short overview, then hop on our shuttle to visit restoration projects through the ages – including streamside plantings, bridge crossings, and wetlands – all on local farmland.

Registration required. RSVP today to save your seat on the bus!

Time: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
