Windows into the Fantastical ... through Paint and Pixel
In this fun show, Erin Libby and Maggie Bates allow us a peek into the fantastical worlds created in their artworks. Erin, a well-known Bellingham artist working in watercolor, ink, oils and pastels, presents us with surreal, playful visions peopled by magical, improbable beings and creatures. Maggie, newer on the Bellingham art scene, illustrates her fairy tale children’s books in watercolor but has also embraced digital art, where she weaves animals, plants, and people into imaginative, often animated, compositions that reflect Celtic, fairytale, and steampunk influences.
A show full of whimsical artwork for the curious mind, you’ll find vibrant art that explores everyday situations in fantastical realms and provides a glimpse into magical tales. Join us for the Opening Event on Friday, July 31st from 4-7 p.m., or pop in thru August, Fridays through Sundays from noon to 6 p.m. We're located at 2013 Main Street in downtown Ferndale, WA, just 10 minutes north of Bellingham.
