Salty Gear Social

We’re giving our usual Salty Social a gear-repair twist! Join us for an end-of-summer evening of gear fixes, boat-sale deals, raffle prizes, and cold beer from Aslan Brewing Company.

Meet the vendors: Gear Aid — Build your own free repair kit with patches, adhesives, tools, and everything you need to start fixing your gear at home. Phenix Threads — Learn how to choose, maintain, and extend the life of your clothing and gear. Bring an item for a small repair that can be completed in 20 minutes or less! Larrabee Gearworks — Explore design for longevity, repair and warranty practices, and how the marine environment affects the soft goods we use on the water. CBC Warehouse Sale — Shop great deals on donated boats, outdoor gear, and equipment while supporting accessible boating programs.

Plus: a beer garden featuring Aslan Brewing, raffle prizes, music, and one more summer evening by the bay. Every beer purchased directly supports the Community Boating Center!

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
