Three in Conversation: From Courtly Grace to Hungarian Rhythm - Night Beat

Bellingham Music Club opens its 111th season with the Bellingham String Trio performing works by Boccherini, Beethoven and Leó Weiner. Drawing upon diverse cultural backgrounds and many years of orchestral, chamber, and teaching experience, violinist Shu-Hsin Ko, violist Yuko Watanabe, and cellist Coral Marchant bring a refreshing and deeply personal perspective to the string trio repertoire.

At the heart of their work is the belief that music is a form of human connection. Join us for the full-length “Night Beat” concert on Friday, September 11th in Bellingham. No ticket purchase required; we suggest a $20 donation at the door. All are welcome and students are always free! Find out more about BMC’s season and endeavors on https://bellinghammusicclub.org/.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
