Make a Difference Day

Volunteer with Whatcom Land Trust and Growing Veterans for Make a Difference Day at Cloud Mountain Farm. Join us for Make a Difference Day, a national day of service that brings people together to give back to their communities.

Volunteers will help steward the salmon-bearing streams that run through this amazing farmland, working alongside Growing Veterans to remove invasive blackberries from the land near the stream, which will help stabilize the banks and filter water. This work will ensure the area is in great shape as the farm transitions to its future permanent owners.

Starts: October 24, 2026

Time: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Location: Cloud Mountain Farm Center
6906 Goodwin Rd., Everson, WA 98247

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
