Bellingham Chamber Music Society at the Hotel Leo: Lush
Join the Bellingham Chamber Music Society for an afternoon of chamber music featuring a string quartet by Doreen Carwithen, a British composer of classical and film music who quickly rose in prominence in the male-dominated post-WWII film world.
Carwithen is the 3rd composer we are sharing from Leah Broad’s book Quartet: How Four Women Challenged the Musical World. The beautiful septet "Introduction and Allegro", for harp, strings, and winds by Ravel and the glorious Brahms 'viola' string Quintet in G major complete the program.
Join us and stay for our reception to enjoy community with fellow audience members and our musicians.
