The Nature of Becoming

What happens when one work of art changes how you see the next?

Our November - December exhibition, The Nature of Becoming: An Exploration of Art, Perception, and Evolution, brings together Sam Chapman, Sheri TenEyck, Lisa Dailey, Carol Berry, and Nanci Price Scoular in painting, fiber, mixed media and glass.

The exhibition is designed as a visual journey through the gallery—one that invites you to follow your curiosity, make your own connections, and notice how your perception changes along the way.

Starts: November 06, 2026

Time: 6 - 9 p.m.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
