Father's Day Activities in Bellingham and Whatcom County

Sunday, June 15, 2025 is Father's Day, meaning its time to start planning a fun-filled day just for your dad or the dad-figure in your life! Here's a list of ideas in Bellingham and throughout surrounding Whatcom County:

June 15, 2025

Approximately 200 classic and modified cars and trucks are expected Sunday, June 15 for the ninth-annual Father’s Day Car Show at Whatcom County’s Bellewood Farms & Distillery.

Presented from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. by Gear Heads of Whatcom County, admission is free for spectators at the family friendly show that includes live music. Farm-made spirits and hard cider from Bellewood’s distillery, plus breakfast and lunch at the Ten Mile Café Grill, will be available.

Twenty-six trophies will be presented at 2 p.m. Drawings for more than $2,000 in prizes will be conducted during the show. Net proceeds will benefit the Bellingham Food Bank, Whatcom Humane Society and Vietnam Veterans of America.

June 15, 2025

Billed as "Loud, scary fun for the whole family!" the MegaZapper show is a must for anyone local to or visiting Bellingham.

In this electrifying hour-long show, the SPARK museum unlocks electricity’s greatest secrets, recreating the greatest demonstrations in the history of electrical science—right before your eyes! Witness death-defying demonstrations including The MegaZapper, one of the largest lightning machines in the country, and the Cage of Doom, where visitors can interact with 4.6 million volts of electricity and take the selfie of a lifetime!

June 15, 2025

Celebrate Dad with live music from County Rose in the beer garden at Boundary Bay Brewery! Doors open at 5 pm with music starting at 6 pm. Food will be available from 5 - 8 pm.

June 15, 2025

Take your dad to a circus show!

Enjoy a night of circus, spectacle, and shenanigans! Vaudevillingham is a monthly community open stage that’s uncurated, uncensored, unapologetic, and UNBELIEVABLE! The best part is that you never know what might happen... Axe juggling? Aerial silks on roller skates? A mad-lib singalong? A symphony made purely from conch shell noises? 🌟 🎩

🌟 TWO SHOWS! 7pm - Family Friendly, All Ages. 9pm - (Almost) Anything Goes, Adult (ish) show. Doors open 30 minutes prior to show.

Spend the day with dad exploring Bellingham Bay and the San Juan Islands on a whale watching cruise with San Juan Cruises!

They also offer wine, beer, and crab dinner cruises.

Celebrate Father's Day Weekend at the Pickford!

Year-round hiking is plentiful in and around Bellingham. Combining the trails in the Mount Baker Snoqualmie National Forest, Chuckanut Mountains, North Cascades National Park, and Whatcom County, you and Dad have hundreds of miles of trails to explore.

Just remember to recreate responsibly!

Tee off with Dad at one of the many beautiful golf courses around Bellingham and Whatcom County.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
