Not to mention, two of Bellingham's breweries have brought home gold medals from the 2018 World Beer Cup. Chuckanut Brewery earned gold for its Chuckanut Pilsner and Chuckanut Kolsch and Aslan Brewing earned gold for its specialty Saiso, Frances Farmer. AND Bellingham is the only Washington State city to rank in the Top 25 for Most Craft Breweries per 50,000 people.

2. Bellingham Tap Trail

In and around Bellingham, locals and visitors can check out any of our 17 different breweries, taphouses and or unique cideries to complete and follow the Bellingham Tap Trail!

Some local favorites include Boundary Bay Brewery, Aslan Brewing Co. and Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen for a pint paired with farm-to-table fare. Pick up your trail passport at any of the stops to start your hoppy journey!


3. Boundary Bay Brewery

Besides brewing bold North West beers, Boundary Bay is also big on community and helping to drive a sustainable Bellingham economy. They have partner with local suppliers and farmers throughout Whatcom County to create a menu of fresh Northwest pub food and support over 100 local nonprofits annually.

5. Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen

6. Bellewood Farms & Distillery

It’s hard to beat a day on Western Washington’s largest apple orchard. Bellewood Farms in the fall crisp air and fresh apples ready to be picked is every locals favorite activity. Since opening to the public in 2002, Bellewood has grown to now include the Bellewood Farm store and café, and in 2019, they opened the Bellewood’s Distillery, where they serve “farm-to-table” flavors including their Bellewood Honeycrisp Vodka and Barrel Aged Gin.
