One of the most successful farmers’ markets in the country, the Bellingham Farmers Market started with 20 vendors in 1992, and a quarter-century later has grown to 140 vendors and up to 10,000 visitors on a peak season Saturday.

Whatcom Arts Project
Bellingham and Whatcom County deeply value togetherness. Although we want everyone to be safe at home (for now), we believe in staying connected during this time of being apart.
To achieve that goal, more than 30 performing and visual arts organizations have collaborated to form the Whatcom Arts Project — a campaign to inform, entertain, educate, inspire, collaborate, support, promote, and uplift each other daily and remain socially close while physically distanced.

Whatcom Museum also has several virtual exhibits that present works of art and historic photography with descriptions for each piece. You can explore at your own pace and dive deeper into a subject on your own if you feel inspired such as exhibits on Northwest Women Artists from 1880-2010 and Mt. Cascadia International Women’s Film Festival
The 5th annual CASCADIA International Women’s Film Festival is bringing the full festival experience right to you! As Cascadia gears up to bring quality films directed by women all over the world to viewers in Bellingham and beyond.
The festival, which is usually held in downtown Bellingham, was “re-envisioned” and will now be online this year May 13 through 22. But they didn’t stop there, this year viewers will be able to stream outstanding films from women directors all over the world!
Wings Over Water: Virtual Birding Festival
The 2021 Wings Over Water Northwest Birding Festival is in its 19th annual year, and will now be offering a variety of online activities through live webinars, pre-recorded presentations, and field trips to inspire attendees of all ages to enhance their outdoor experience and knowledge of birding!
