Loop Through Lynden, Washington
Dutch-themed Lynden has morphed from a quaint agricultural town known chiefly for its 72-foot-tall rotating windmill into an eclectic road trip destination 15 miles north of Bellingham, Washington.
The four-block downtown is anchored at one end by the sprawling Lynden Pioneer Museum, home to what it says is the largest collection of horse-drawn vehicles west of the Mississippi River - as well as a 150-year-old pickle.
