The Northwest Washington Fair Foundation is proud to announce the scholarship winners for 2025. This year, scholarships ranging from $1,500 to $2,500 were awarded to 11 outstanding students pursuing careers that support the agricultural industry, as well as to students who have demonstrated leadership skills and have been involved in the Northwest Washington Fair.
The following students were recipients for this year’s scholarships: Mia Apps, a Lynden High School graduate who is currently studying at the University of Idaho; Tessa Berendsen who is graduating from Lynden Christian High School with plans to attend Washington State University; Alyssa DeRoco who is graduating from Mount Baker High School with plans to attend Washington State University; Brooklyn Hallberg who is graduating from Lynden High School with plans to attend the University of Kentucky; Haylee Koetje, a Lynden High School graduate who is currently studying at Northwest University; Carson Milstead, a Lynden High School graduate who is currently studying at Washington State University; Grace Oakes who is graduating from Lynden High School with plans to attend Whatcom Community College; Erica Schuyleman, who is graduating from Lynden High School with plans to attend Washington State University; Ryan Van Berkum who is graduating from Lynden High School with plans to attend Dordt University; Tess VanLoo, a Lynden Christian High School graduate who is currently studying at Montana State University; and Kassidy Van Soest who is graduating from Lynden Christian High School with plans to attend Yakima Valley Community College. The Northwest Washington Fair Foundation looks forward to watching these hard-working students succeed in their career journey.
